Welcome! My name is Heather and I would love to make you a dress.

Frazier + Wing is my made-to-order clothing collection focused on the craft of dressmaking. The pieces are designed, cut and sewn in my Portland, Oregon studio using luxurious natural fabrics. Cotton, silk, wool and linen are my fabrics of choice because they feel good on the body and have a lower environmental impact than synthetics.

Comfortable dresses are the foundation of the collection, because who doesn't love the ease of one piece dressing? The understated designs are meant to be versatile - beautiful when worn simply as an expression of minimal style or as a foundation to a more layered look.

The made-to-order model is an alternative to the harmful proliferation of fast, throw away fashion. My aim is to create clothing that feels special and that will be treasured and worn for a very long time. I hope to form connections with customers and other designers embracing this new(old) way of making and investing in clothing.

Frazier + Wing was established in 2008 and was born from my love of design, color, textiles, art and making things. From 2008 - 2015, I was focused on designing and producing decorative mobiles. In 2016, I turned my attention to designing and making clothing.

In addition to being a life long sewer, I studied Apparel Design at FIDM in San Francisco. I also owned a retail store in San Francisco where I sold high end contemporary clothing collections. It was there that I gained extensive experience on both the wholesale and retail side of the fashion industry. Dressing a wide range of customers in the shop informed my design instincts and deepened my understanding of fit and quality construction. I have also spent time working as a partner in a fine art photography gallery. You can read more about my story on the journal

My business is named for my parents, Truman Frazier and Nancy Wing who supported and nurtured my creative impulses from a young age.
